Welcome to our new website!

Saint Nick’s Closet is proud to present our new website! Have a look around and get to know us and how much we want to help others. Do you know that Saint Nick’s raised over $100,000 in 2014 alone? YES we did! And it was all because of you. THANK YOU. We wouldn’t be able to make it without your help. And thank you to our volunteers Lisa, Tammy, Donna and Linda. Without them we would not be able to do all that we are able to do.

Emergency and Specialty Care Assistance Program

My Brother was a good man – a loving father, son, brother, relative, friend and a hard worker. Four years ago he was hospitalized with multiple congestive heart failure from previously undiagnosed diabetes and high blood pressure, and we were told that he would have as little as six months to live.

After hearing this we moved him to Peachtree City to help him get through this and try to make his last 6 months worth fighting for. My brother also had severe depression. We went to the local Animal Shelter and he picked out a Chihuahua with big ears and bulging eyes. I truly believed this dog, which he never named and called Puppy, kept him alive and gave him the reason to wake up and have a little purpose. We gained another four years with my brother.

About 7 months ago my brother had a stroke and we had to take the puppy away but we replaced it with a very large overweight cat named Oscar who would sit with him and help him get through the days.

On Monday night, October 28 2015, his heart gave out and my brother passed away. Many friends have generously expressed an interest in doing something in memory of my brother Jack. Jack truly enjoyed the company of his special cat and dog over the years and his companions helped to ease his pain and make his days more meaningful and brighter.
We strongly believe that contributing to our furry friends would be a meaningful way to remember Jack.

We have started the JC Heartship Fund to help the disabled and seniors keep their loving pets. We understand that most are living on a fixed income or disability and realize that for most of them the reason they wake up in the morning is to take care of their pets. We have started this fund to help subsidize expenses for care and emergencys that may come up with their loving furry friends.

Once you have filled it out please email it to Saintnickscloset@gmail.com. We may have you visit our vet to get a second opinion. These funds will only be dispersed in the Fayette and Coweta area for now but as we grow we will extend to other areas. If you would like to make a donation please go to the Donation page and make sure to put “JC Heartship Fund” in the description box.
